Over 13,000 people in just one week have added their voice to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust’s petition calling for fair access to precision medicines
for everyone with cystic fibrosis.
This phenomenal response means that there is more than one signature for every person in the UK living with cystic fibrosis, and now the Trust is urging anyone who hasn’t signed or shared the petition to get involved, and help push up the number of signatures, to represent the friends and families of those with the condition as well.
Sharing the petition far and wide will show the UK governments, NHS across the four nations, and drug companies, how important this issue is to everyone affected by cystic fibrosis.
In a blog today, Chief Executive Ed Owen said: "Access to therapies that can make a difference to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis is an essential part of our wider fight for a life unlimited
"We need the united voice of all those affected by cystic fibrosis, their families, friends, clinical teams and others to help spread the word, amplify our community’s voice and reach out to new supporters."
The petition is now closed - thank you to everyone who made the call for fair access to life-changing treatments louder than ever!
