About the Trust
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only national charity providing support to the 10,400 people living with cystic fibrosis in the UK, and their families. We invest in world leading research and innovation, collaborate with the doctors, nurses and other health professionals at cystic fibrosis centres around the UK to ensure the right levels of care, provide information, advice and support for everyone affected by cystic fibrosis, campaign and influence policy, and raise awareness of the condition.
We benefit from a highly-engaged and fantastically committed community of supporters who go to great lengths to support us, and with their support we have achieved great things. A baby born with CF in 1964, when the charity was formed, would be lucky to reach primary school age - today they can look forward to adulthood, maybe even drawing a pension. But there is still so much to be done.
Working at our Aldgate office you will benefit from a bright modern working environment, a progressive flexible working policy and the opportunity to build great relationships with colleagues from across this friendly charity.
About the Philanthropy Team
The major gifts team sits within the wider philanthropy team, working with a prospect researcher and alongside our colleagues in trusts and corporate fundraising. Over the past year we have benefitted from the experience of a new Head of Philanthropy, Sue Lopez, who together with our senior manager, Martin Miller, is committed to best-in-sector major donor fundraising.
Through developing cases for support and stewardship opportunities, as well as a year-long calendar of events, we are continuing to build excellent relationships with the charity’s closest supporters and have built the foundations of a first-class major donor programme.
About this role
There is enormous potential to grow this area of fundraising and we are looking for a manger who above all else can match our drive and determination. You will relish the chance to meet new and existing supporters both in group situations and during 1:1 meetings. By building on the opportunities available you will be able to grow sustainable long-term income for the fight against cystic fibrosis.
Your will manage a number of existing relationships and will be given the autonomy to grow and develop your own portfolio. You will be given the tools and support you need to succeed, working within an experienced and supportive team.
For more information, please contact Susana Lopez, Head of Philanthropy, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 07813455411 to arrange time for an initial chat on the phone, or over coffee.
